A day of Silence
Can help you listen
To the Soul play
Its marvelous lute and drum
Is not most talking
A crazed defense of a crumbling fort?
I thought we came here
To surrender in Silence,
To yield to Light and Happiness,
To Dance within
In celebration of love’s Victory!

Some poems are just so great. I love this one because in it Love is a victory! Love is a
Celebration and it does require surrender into a silence in order to realize it. Hafiz reminds me that Leadership is so important. Right now there are so many people clambering for a voice clambering to be heard. But when we surrender and listen to what is being said it’s a lot more of the same fear mongering. If we listen to God we hear Be Not afraid/ Rest in me/Trust in the One who made you.
Yes I say to the question he asks… Is not most talking just a crazed defense of a crumbling fort? Lord let me live whole heartedly in you. Let me remember you in all I do. So I say do not listen to the noisy outsiders who get louder and louder. Let’s surrender as the poem says in silence to yield to Light and Happiness ~ To Dance within ~ In Celebration of Love’s Victory. Yes! Yes! Love is victorious. A true win win~ Amen
