Growing Faith

Lately, I have had the feeling that things are bit too much for me. Too much work. Too many bills . Too many items to throw out. Too many worries. But then I heard someone describing how the embryo becomes a baby and started thinking about how the world turns on the perfect axis and how the flowers bloom…Who does all that stuff? The merciful one who tends to all that to the ‘lilies of the field’ is on the job and I do not have to work it to make anything happen. It’s a call for more faith that I am asking for here! God help my unbelief!

There was a cab driver who was talking with me on Friday. It was just about to storm and I had no umbrella. He picked me up and we started talking about God. He was a believer and was joyous to find that I believed in God too. The ride was about 10 minutes & we went on and on about the wonders of God. Then it veered (as it often does with me lately) into do I have a man? I was crestfallen, not sure why, and pieced together my smile to say: “ well that is all so complicated.” He looked at me in the rearview mirror and said in that beautiful African accent; “Awwwe I see you believe in God it’s men you have no faith in. “ That is something I hope is in a state of change but it is true. . Maybe one day that will change but I had to nod my head a& shut my mouth and strut out of that cab.

SO I am sure that God who does all those miraculous things can fix my finances,& fix my defensive heart . Let it be so!
